Profiles in History has announced today they will be auctioning  the estates of Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher on September 23rd, 2017 in an auction entitled, “The Personal Property Auction of Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds“. The auction house will be auctioning over 1500 items of Debbie and Carrie’s that include original movie costumes, props, scripts, memorabilia, ephemera, and personal belongings of the icon mother and daughter. Stars of “Singin’ in the Rain” and “Star Wars“.  The real estate firm of Williams & Williams Estates is handling the property sale.

Profiles will be showing a special selection of items from the Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds Auction in July at San Diego’s Comic Con.

Portions of the proceeds will be going to both Debbie Reynolds’ charity The Thalians (http://www.thalians.org) and The Jed Foundation (www.jedfoundation.org), a charity chosen by Billie Lourd.

September 23rd is the first day of what is expected to be a multi-day auction. There will be well over 1500 lots in this auction, with items for collectors but also items for fans who want to own something special that belonged to Carrie or Debbie. Todd Fisher, Carrie Fisher’s brother and Debbie Reynolds’ son said, “My mother and sister were magnificent collectors, they amassed an amazing and diverse collection in their lifetimes. The size and scope of their collection rivals most museums. So in keeping with my mother’s wishes we have decided to share part of their magnificent collection with all their friends and fans.”

The 1700 Coldwater Canyon property is true Hollywood-pedigree. An Original 1928 hacienda-style home on 3.5 lushly landscaped acres secluded down a long gated driveway, passing by the home of Debbie Reynolds on premise, complete with a swimming pool, tennis court and detached guest house. The Legendary Hollywood Estate includes a long line of famous former owners including: the Academy-Award-winning costume designer Edith Head (on whom the character of Edna in the 2004 movie the Incredibles was based), Robert Armstrong, King Kong’s captor in the original film, who built the house and sold it to Bette Davis. Also, singer James Blunt lived on the premises, in Fischer’s guest house, for a time. He even recorded a song in one of the property’s bathrooms. The sale is being handled by Branden Williams & Rayni Williams at Williams & Williams.
