Actor, George Clooney, is auctioning his personalty owned 2008 Tesla Roadster automobile thru automobile auction house, Gooding & Company. Their Pebble Beach Auction is being held August 19th and the auction features many rare and desirable autos of varying price points.

Clooney ‘s 2008 Tesla Roadster,is a limited edition, electric motor black metallic sports car with two-tone leather interior. The car according to Gooding’s description is the eighth production Tesla model built of the car and is the world’s first high performance electric sports car. It comes complete with charging adapters and accessories.

The car’s auction estimate is $100,000 – $125,000 and has only 1,825 miles on the speedometer. The car was purchased new by Mr. Clooney and he has been the only owner.

Proceeds from the sale of the car will go to Mr. Clooney’s Satellite Sentinel Project Protecting the Citizens of Sudan, a non-profit charity co-founded by Clooney to monitor the borders of Sudan via camera satellite.
