Update for the Propworx Star Trek auction.
A Propworx Star Trek auction bidder sent me the following email they received on May 19th from Propworx CEO Alex Peters.
The email states that the Star Trek list of lots on Live Auctioneers was being taken down May 19th and re-uploaded May 20th in order to “make several changes”.
The email goes on to say those that have already bid on the auction must start again and re bid.
Dear Star Trek auction bidder,
This evening, Propworx will be taking down the Star Trek auction from Live Auctioneer and re-launching it tomorrow May 20, 2011. We had to make several changes to the auction catalog PDF that we will be releasing this weekend, and we realized that that changed the numbering of the lots on Live Auctioneer. So we have to take down the auction and relaunch it. Unfortunately that means any bids you placed will have to be re-entered. We apologize for this inconvenience, but we needed to make sure that the catalog was as accurate as possible.
And stay tuned to the Propworx website for information on the release of the full color catalog PDF this weekend.

I am not sure what exactly happened, but to be fair to Propworx, as well as other auction houses and businesses, things can happen. When they do, those involved usually do the right thing and that’s what is important.
The same reader who sent me the above email, also mentioned when they clicked on a link mentioned here and provided by Alec Peters from his blog post of May 13th, they were taken to the Propworx Star Trek Live Auctioneers listing page which says, “offered by Black Label Platform“. There also appears to be another weird error on the page.
This error shows double listings of the same lots with different lot numbers, which could confuse potential bidders.
I am sure this will be worked out very soon and again ask that potential bidders be fair to Propworx like they would any other auction house or business.
