This particular Auburn cabriolet was owned and driven by James Cagney in the 1933 film “The Mayor of Hell.” It was restored to an extremely high standard by Auburn-Cord-Dusesenberg expert Brian Joseph in 1986, and received a Verification of Originality from the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Club at that time, which means it has its original chassis, engine, and drive-train. It is one of only four 1934 Auburn V12 Cabriolets built, and one of only two certified by the A-C-D. It has a full ownership history, and presents in outstanding driving and showing condition today.
